Deposit Information:
Residential/Farm - All applications for service are subject to approval and/or credit check.  If you prefer that a credit check not be run on your account, you will automatically be charged the full deposit amount. A deposit amount shall equal the greater amount of 2.5 times the following: 1) the service location's average monthly bill; 2) the average monthly bill of the Residential and Farm Service rate classes' annual monthly bill; or 3) the estimated bill for electric usage for a structure of similar size.

Non-Residential - A deposit, surety bond or irrevocable letter of credit is required of any non-residential member-owner before electric service will be supplied to insure payment of final bills. A deposit, suitable guarantee or security for those members shall be equal to the greater amount of 2.5 times either the service location's (location to be connected for the member) average monthly bill or the electrical load requirements for the service location.

Water - A deposit of $50.00 is required to establish service.

Electric Fees:
Membership Fee - Dixie Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility. In order to establish membership, a $5 membership fee is required. This fee is refunded when service is disconnected.

Connection Fee - A connection fee is required on all accounts to cover the cost of processing applications and establishing electric service. This fee varies depending on the type of connection required. The fee for connections that require a trip to the service location is $40. Prepay connection fees are also $40. The fee for connections that can be performed from the office is $25.
